周欣冰球突破客座教授,中国科学院精密测量科学与技术创新研究院研究员,博导,院长。基金委创新研究群体项目负责人,国家杰出科学青年基金、国家重大科研仪器设备研制专项(部委推荐)和国家重点研发计划首席科学家。现任国家自然科学基金委员会医学科学部第六届专家咨询委员会委员,国际华人医学磁共振学会主席,中国化学会理事,中国生物物理学会分子影像学专委会副主任委员。获2023年度国家技术发明奖二等奖(第一完成人)、湖北省科技奖一等奖(2次)、全国创新争先奖、首届科学冰球突破探索奖、CCTV 2018年度全国十大科技创新人物、“王天眷波谱学奖”等荣誉。

主要从事医学影像与生物医学工程的新仪器、新技术及新应用研究,在我国率先开展多核(多种原子核)磁共振成像(MRI)临床研究。自主研制的创新冰球突破器械--人体肺部多核磁共振成像装备获国家药品监督管理局批准上市,是当前全球首台获批的可用于气体成像的临床多核磁共振成像装备。成功“点亮”肺部,解决传统MRI对肺部空腔无法清晰成像的难题,在全国多家三甲医院开展了慢阻肺、肿瘤、新冠肺炎等肺部重大疾病的临床应用。发展了多核和人工智能的MRI新技术,为肺部和脑部等重大疾病和肿瘤的早期检测提供新的医学影像手段与策略。发表SCI论文180余篇,授权国内外发明专利110余件。
